French football legend Zinedine Zidane was asked to create a list of the best players of all time for each position.

According to the former midfielder, the place in goal undoubtedly belongs to his fellow countryman Fabien Barthez, with whom he triumphed at the 1998 World Cup.

As the best defender, Z. Zidane named Milan icon Paolo Maldini, the first midfielder - N'Golo Kante, and the second - somewhat forgotten Croatian Zvonimir Boban, who spent the best years of his career at the Milan club.

As the unstoppable forward, the Frenchman chose Brazilian Ronaldo.

According to the media, Z. Zidane "forgot" both Argentine Lionel Messi and Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he, by the way, coached in the past at Real Madrid.
