Z. Zidane's return marked by victory against "Celta", "Atletico" stumbled at Bilbao fortress

In Spain's "La Liga" championship, four matches of the 28th round were played on Saturday.

In this season, where Madrid's "Real" club is no longer fighting for titles, they created their own celebration - Zinedine Zidane returned to the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium after nine months. In the second half, "Real" marked the coach's return with a victory against Vigo's "Celta".

In the first half, the Madrid team had the advantage with the ball, but did not convert their chances into goals - the teams went into halftime with a score of 0-0.

In the second half, the hosts' dominance became even more pronounced. In the 62nd minute, the "Whites" finally scored the first goal when Isco, returning to the starting lineup after a long break, scored after Karim Benzema's pass. This was Isco's first start in a match since December.

In the 77th minute, Gareth Bale secured the victory, also scoring after a pass from Marcelo who returned to the starting lineup.

"Real" achieved their second consecutive victory and remains in third place. "Celta" falls into the relegation zone for the first time this season after the defeat.

Meanwhile, "Atletico" suffered their second loss in the last five days after the tragic game in Turin. Bilbao's "Athletic" taught Diego Simeone's players a lesson with a 2-0 result at home.

In the 73rd minute, Inaki Williams put the Basques ahead, and the victory was secured only 12 minutes later by Kenan Kodro who appeared on the field after a substitution.

"Atletico" may withdraw from the fight for the "La Liga" title after this defeat. Madrid's "Real" has now closed the gap to just two points.

In other matches, "Alaves" won 3-1 against "Huesca" away, and "Girona" proved their advantage against "Leganes".
