On Wednesday, the 6th round matches of the "SMScredit A League" continue.
At the LFF Stadium, the "Lithuanian El Clasico" took place, where the players of Vilnius "Žalgiris" and Panevėžys "Ekranas" met.
In the first half, the hosts had the initiative. In the 14th minute, Rytis Leliūga had a good opportunity to score, but Tadas Kauneckas reliably guarded the goal.
The same "Žalgiris" goalkeeper R.Leliūga tried to beat the Lithuanian champions' goalkeeper again in the 31st minute. The most real opportunity to score at the end of the half was for Pavelas Komolovas, but T.Kauneckas stopped the powerful shot.
In the second half, the "Žalgiris" players continued to prove their superiority. The A League vice-champions did not allow "Ekranas" to create almost any dangerous opportunities.
In the 69th minute, the first goal fell into the team's net of coach Valdas Urbanas. After Jakub Wilko's pass, Luka Peričius scored.
Shortly after, exactly five minutes later, the hosts in Vilnius doubled the score. In the 74th minute, Mantas Kuklys scored a long shot after Ramūnas Radavičius' pass.
It is worth mentioning that after the substitution, former "Šiauliai" forward Artūras Rimkevičius appeared in the "Ekranas" lineup. It was the debut of the players wearing the champions' shirts.

In the next match, Marijampolė's "Sūduva" narrowly lost at home to the visitors from Pakruojis.
At the beginning of the match, territorial advantage belonged to the Marijampolė football players, but the visitors defended reliably and tried to organize counterattacks whenever possible.
One of them was successful in the 23rd minute of the match. Andrius Lipskis, from "Kruoja", put his team ahead with a precise shot. The guests managed to maintain their lead until the end of the first half.
Fifteen minutes into the second half, all of "Sūduva's" attacks were bouncing off the withdrawn defense bastions of "Kruoja". Nerijus Valskis started leading the attack for the "Sūduva" team.
In the 60th minute, the most effective player of the home team burst into the penalty area and was brought down. To equalize the score, "Sūduva" was hindered by Rafael Ledesma's very inaccurate shot from the penalty spot.
In the 70th minute, Valskis himself could have scored, but his beautifully and technically shot ball from the left corner hit the post.
"Kruoja" could have solved all the match questions in the 80th minute, when Nerijus Astrauskas broke free against Pavelas Davidovas, but the fantastic "Sūduva" goalkeeper repelled the opponent's shot.
