In the only Friday's NFKA "A Lyga" match in Vilnius, "Žalgiris" celebrated a 2-1 victory against Kėdainiai's "Nevėžis", which was their first win this season.

Vilnius 2 - 1 Kėdainiai 27` [1 - 0] Igoris Morinas 34` [2 - 0] Raimondas Vilėniškis 90` [2 - 1] Marius Bezykornovas (penalty)

The first goal for the winners was scored by the most effective player of last season's "Žalgiris", Igoris Morinas, in the 27th minute of the match, and seven minutes later Raimondas Vilėniškis doubled the lead.

Throughout the match, the hosts had a clear advantage and could have won with a much larger score. The ball hit the crossbar three times by the Vilnius' shots.

The players of "Nevėžis" scored a consolation goal at the very end of the match, when former "Žalgiris" player Marius Bezykornovas earned and successfully converted an eleven-meter penalty. This year it was the first goal for "Nevėžis", so in "A Lyga" there are no teams left without scoring.

For "Žalgiris", this was their first victory, allowing them to secure the seventh place in the league table. Meanwhile, "Nevėžis" remains the only team in "A Lyga" without earning a single point.
