Vilnius city football club "Žalgiris" and Lithuania U-17 national team forward Edvinas Baniulis has caught the attention of Genoa's "Sampdoria" club, according to the official team website.
The Italian team has invited the promising Žalgiris player for a trial.
For the 16-year-old footballer, this news was unexpected.
"I unexpectedly found out that I am flying to Italy this Sunday. Sampdoria is currently looking for forwards born in 1997. I will try to make the most of this opportunity and demonstrate my abilities," said E. Baniulis.
This year, the Žalgiris player represented the "Žalgiris-3" youth team and also made his debut in the main team's "SMScredit.lt A Lyga" matches.
