In the central match of the 28th round, the teams of „Sūduva“ and Vilnius „Žalgiris“ faced off. In a combative match, both teams scored a goal and ended in a peaceful draw with a score of  1:1 (1:0).

At the beginning of the match, the teams exchanged shots – Liviu Antalis shot twice for the Vilnius team, but one shot went wide, and the other was caught by goalkeeper Giedrius Zenkevičius. For Sūduva, Rokas Filipavičius attempted a long-range shot, but it did not pose any problems for the goalkeeper Arpad Tordai.

It is said that a good pass does not go to waste. A ball sent into the penalty area by Artem Fedorov was not touched by anyone and sneaked into the goal on a treacherous trajectory.

In the middle of the half, the Mariampole team launched a dangerous counterattack – A. Federovas passed the ball to Rokas Filipavičius, who made a dangerous shot just beside the post.

In the 39th minute, Romualdas Jansonas made a great run, but his shot was blocked by the home team’s defender.

During the added time of the first half, Joelis Bopesu had a chance, but G. Zenkevičius blocked the defender's powerful shot.

In the 53rd minute, a penalty kick was awarded to the home team, which L. Antalis successfully converted.

After the goal, the Vilnius team completely took over the initiative, but there were no very dangerous episodes near either goal. The meeting ended with the Vilnius team having a player sent off – Myroslavas Mazuras saw a red card.

With the point added, Dovydas Lastauskas' team is in ninth place, while Žalgiris is first with 57 points.
