Another match of the 3rd round of the "TOPsport A League" was played in the capital, where Vilnius "Žalgiris" faced Gargždai "Banga". The guests, who fought hard until the end, equalized the score – the match ended with a result of 1:1 (0:0).

In the 15th minute, Jurijus Kendyšas shot over the goal, a bit later Ignas Venckus found himself at the sharp end of the attack a couple of times, but failed to convert effectively. In the 40th minute, the team's newcomer Henrique Devensas launched a particularly dangerous attack – the forward made a long-range attempt, and the ball hit the goalpost.

In the 54th minute, after a corner taken by Joris Moutachy, the ball bounced to Giedrius Matulevičius, but he fell just short of the goal, and shortly thereafter, Ovidijus Verbickas's shot was saved by Mantas Bertašius with the outer part of his foot.

After an hour of play, the Žalgiris team took the lead – during a set-piece situation, J. Kendyšas sent the ball into the penalty area, which was put into the net by Maksimas Andrejevas. Very soon after, H. Devensas shot dangerously from the penalty area, and Machopas Cholas attempted a long-range shot – both players' efforts saw the ball fly past the goalpost.

Aaron Olugbogi dribbled past 2 opponents and created a dangerous moment, but Arpadas Tordajus prevented the goal. In the 81st minute, the score could have doubled, but H. Devensas and M. Cholo lacked precision.

Just a few minutes later, the Brazilian created another chance, but Motiejus Burba, left one-on-one with the goalkeeper, could not get the better of M. Bertašius. In the next attack, however, A. Olugbogi managed to beat the opposing goalkeeper, and his shot into the near bottom corner of the goal turned into the equalizing goal.

After the 3rd round of the "TOPsport A League", the Vilnius team, having drawn for the second time in a row, secured their 5th point, while the Gargždai team bounced back from the loss and has one point less in their tally.
