Vilnius "Žalgiris" football players played to a draw of 0-0 today in an away game against the "Aalborg" club from Denmark. The first match in Vilnius ended with a 3-1 victory for the visitors.

The Žalgiris team finished their participation in European cup tournaments. This year was quite successful for Lithuanian clubs. In the UEFA Intertoto Tournament, Vilnius advanced to the third round but had to admit defeat with an overall score of 5-1.
In the UEFA Champions League, Kaunas successfully passed the first stage but was defeated in the second stage after a fierce battle. Football players from "Žalgiris" and "Ekranas" who participated in the UEFA Cup also stumbled in the second stage of the cup.
