The new coach Victor Fernandez strengthened the team by bringing back two former players - Juanfran and Sergio Fernandez. The Spanish coach had trained both of these players when he was in charge of Celta Vigo.
Sergio, a 29-year-old center-back, is moving from Celta to Zaragoza. Meanwhile, his compatriot Juanfran moved from Celta to Besiktas two years ago and then to Ajax in Amsterdam last summer.
This year, Zaragoza has already strengthened their team with the Argentine midfielder Andres D'Alessandro, who joined on loan from Wolfsburg.
