Former star of the Croatian national team Zvonimir Boban pulverized England's performance in the World Cup.
The "Three Lions" team failed to win any matches - suffering defeats against Italy and Uruguay and earning a point in the match against Costa Rica.
"The English played apathetically, the team was soulless, just like the coach R. Hodgson. Hopeless team of players, with weak links like Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard always in the team.
And they went home without showing any emotion, as if such a fiasco was normal. Typical behavior of "losers," - said the Croat.
"I grew up with the animated character Nipper, who wanted to become a footballer. The England team does not have its own Nipper, lacks the spirit of fighters and dreams. They are glued to their smartphones, plugged in their headphones and thinking about "Playstation" games. The English don't even know who they represent and whose part they are," Boban claimed.
