Axel Witsel, the security guard of the Saint Petersburg "Zenit" club, revealed that in the future he would like to move to play in the English Premier League.

The 24-year-old Belgian, who was one of the leaders of the national team during the World Cup qualifiers, insists that he is not in a rush to leave Russia, but one day he would like to move to a top-level team.

"I have set a goal for myself to play for a big club. I'm not saying it has to happen in the near future, but it has to be a top-level team," - said A. Witsel.

The security guard admits that he is mostly attracted to the English football championships: "I think about the opportunity to play in the Premier League, which is watched by everyone. There are eight strong clubs in England."

A. Witsel moved to the "Zenit" club from the Lisbon "Benfica" team in September last year. The Russian team did not spare 40 million euros for the Belgian.
