Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that UEFA punished his represented club because they want to stop their rise in Europe.
Recently, the French champions were penalized for not complying with the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules and were fined a sum of 60 million euros, but Z. Ibrahimovic remained dissatisfied with UEFA's decision.
"FFP is not my area because my job is to help PSG win trophies, but the rest is politics," said the captain of the Swedish national team at a press conference.
"The giants of Europe are afraid of the huge PSG club project. That is why the 'Financial Fair Play' rule is applied to our team.
"I don't want to offend anyone, but maybe other clubs envy us. I don't think there is a club that would complain about UEFA's decision," added Z. Ibrahimovic.
Interestingly, PSG announced last week that they acquired Chelsea defender David Luiz for about 50 million euros.
