This week the Italian league's disciplinary committee had a lot of work, deciding to disqualify the forward Zlatan Ibrahimović for three games, and the captain Francesco Totti for five matches. Ibrahimović, in Wednesday's loss against "Inter," received a yellow card and would not have played in the upcoming match against "Lazio," however, after viewing television replays, he was punished for an off-the-ball incident with the opposing team's defender Ivan Cordoba. The young Swede not only attacked Cordoba during the match, but also managed to headbutt another "Inter" defender, Sinisa Mihajlovic. The referee did not see these incidents, so Ibrahimović received an additional two-match disqualification and will miss the matches against "Bologna" and the crucial game against "Milan." Meanwhile, Francesco Totti, in the game against "Siena," received a red card for hitting Francesco Colonnese, and in the referee's report, another incident by Roma's captain towards an opponent was mentioned. The sideline referee noticed the hit and proposed that the Italian national team player receive his second red card of the season, making him the player with the most yellow cards this season in the team. For all of this, Totti "earned" a five-game disqualification, and the club will also impose a 30% deduction from his monthly salary. The captain of "Roma," excluding Italian cup matches, will only be able to play in the final match against "Chievo" this season, missing games against "Sampdoria," "Brescia," "Parma," "Atalanta," and also the Rome derby against "Lazio."
